I haven't colored with colored pencils is so long. It was kind of a nice change. More work for my "Tales of the Stars" project, my insanely large crossover piece that brings most of my favorite fictional worlds into one with the Sailor Moon universe as the main world. My original characters are used to bind everything together through friendship, common goals, and love.
Towards the end of her high school career Staria and the other senshi have a new enemy to contend with. But they aren't the only ones who have sensed the impending evil. The Zodiac Clan has also gotten the attention of the Samurai Troopers. The two teams decide to partner up against a common enemy. After being saved by Touma, Staria finds herself becoming friends with the group of boys. The blue haired Touma and her share a common love of the stories behind the constellations and quickly become close friends, while she ends up getting a crush on his blond best friend, Seiji.
After a particularly nasty battle Staria returns home to find her apartment complex a burnt smoking pile of rubble, with the fire department putting out the last of the blaze. Normally she would have turned to her brother, Mamoru, for a place to stay but with him being over seas studying it wasn't going to be possible. Not wanting to bother any of the girl's parents, and knowing Makoto's apartment was tiny, she turns to the troopers, hoping their friend Nasuti will let her crash at their home for a little while. Once she's safe again Staria hits a breaking point emotionally and falls apart a bit.
Long back story short.... this images is of Touma and Seiji letting Staria have a good long cry to vent her stress, but still letting her know she's not alone.
It's been so long since I've seen Ronin Warriors or even any art from it. You did a great job with the poses and expressions. It loks like a difficult scene to draw!
I've been trying to push myself but I admit I used some reference, but I spent a good evening working on this one. I wish I would have made Staria's vest another color though....she blends into the couch too much
